Close on the heels of her contemporaries Suhasini and Revathi, Rohini is turning a filmmaker now. She will script and direct a movie titled ‘Bambaram’ which will have newcomers in the lead.
“I have penned lyrics for songs in ‘Pachaikili Muthucharam’ and ‘Mundhinam Partheney’. Also, I have directed many short films. With this experience, I have decided to wield the megaphone for a feature film,” says the actress.
Elaborating on ‘Bambaram’, she says, “it is a different story which will deal with human emotions. Freshers will play the protagonists while Alphonese Roy will take care of cinematography.”
Saying that the project will start soon, Rohini says she is currently acting in Tamil and Malayalam movies. “Bambaram is a different attempt, so I decided to direct it myself,” she concludes.
