Recently it was his elder brother Suriya who campaigned to save tigers. And on Monday, Karthi, one of the hot and happening stars of Tamil cinema, adopted a white tiger cub at the Vandaloor zoo.
The actor visited the zoo along with Diya, daughter of Suriya, and adopted the tiger cub. He handed over a cheque for Rs 77,000 to the Member Secretary of the Tamilnadu Zoo Authority, R Sundaravelu
According to Sundaravelu, the amount will be used towards the food and maintanence of Namratha, the white tiger cub which Karthi adopted. Says the actor, ‘I have a great fascination fopr wild life and animals.
Whenever I get free time, I go trekking to jungles.’
